It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Robert James Armer, who left us on March 6, 2026, at the age of 57. A devoted father, cherished grandfather, and a pillar of strength to his family, Robert’s loss is deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Robert was more than a parent—he was a source of unwavering support, guidance, and love. To his family, he was a rock, someone who could always be relied upon in times of need. As a grandfather, he brought immeasurable joy, warmth, and pride, creating memories that will be treasured forever. His presence was one of comfort and reassurance, and his love will continue to live on in the hearts of those closest to him.
Known and respected by many, Robert had a way of connecting with people that left a lasting impression. His kindness, generosity, and genuine nature made him not only deeply loved by his family but also appreciated by a wide circle of friends and acquaintances. He carried himself with quiet strength and compassion, always willing to offer support or a listening ear.
While his passing leaves an irreplaceable void, his legacy is one of love, resilience, and devotion. Those who knew him will remember not only the role he played in their lives but the way he made them feel—valued, supported, and cared for.
A service to honor and celebrate Robert’s life will be held on April 13, 2026, at Scunthorpe Crematorium. In keeping with his wishes, donations will be collected in support of suicide prevention, a cause that was important to him.
