Gage Duthie Penticton, British Columbia Obituary: In Loving Memory of Gage Duthie: A Life of Love, Laughter, and Generosity

It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Gage Duthie, who left us peacefully on February 26, 2026, at the age of 28, surrounded by the love of his family and friends. Gage’s life, though far too brief, was marked by joy, generosity, and a spirit that lifted all who knew him.

Born on September 30, 1997, in Penticton, British Columbia, Gage was a young man whose kindness and gentle nature left an enduring impact on his community, family, and friends. He approached life with courage and enthusiasm, embracing every opportunity for adventure and connection. Whether riding his dirt bike, tinkering with vehicles, enjoying music, or expressing himself through his love of fashion, Gage approached each day with energy, passion, and style. His sense of humour, infectious laughter, and ever-present smile brought light to even the darkest moments, leaving an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to know him.

Above all, Gage was defined by his compassion and selflessness. He had an innate ability to care for others, offering help without hesitation and extending kindness to strangers as naturally as he did to family and friends. His generosity endured even in his final days through organ donation, giving the gift of life to four individuals and demonstrating the depth of his love and thoughtfulness.

Gage leaves behind his beloved partner, Gracie Lundgren, and their son, Greyson, as well as his sister Anneliese Duthie, his parents Sandy and Dacan Duthie, and a wide circle of extended family and friends who will forever cherish his memory. He is also mourned by his cherished pets, who were a source of joy in his life. He was predeceased by his grandmother, Sharon Duthie, and grandfather, Bryan Freeland, both of whom remained close to his heart throughout his life.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Calgary on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at Partner Pub & Grill, and in Cranbrook on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Smitty’s, where all who loved Gage are invited to honor his life and legacy.

In lieu of flowers or gifts, Gage’s family requests donations be made to the SPCA or Humane Society, reflecting his enduring love for animals. Gage Duthie’s memory will live on through his warmth, generosity, and the lives he touched. May his soul rest in peace, and may those who loved him find comfort in the light he brought into the world.
