We gather in sorrow and remembrance to honor the life of John Andrew Breer, whose time with us, though far too brief, was filled with meaning, love, and quiet strength. At just sixteen years old, John left an indelible mark on his family, friends, and community, reminding us all of the beauty of a life lived with sincerity and faith.
Born on February 26, 2010, John was a young man of deep character and gentle spirit. He carried himself with kindness beyond his years and possessed a generosity that touched everyone he encountered. John found joy and peace in the natural world, where he felt closest to God. Whether hunting at dawn, fishing along calm waters, or exploring wooded trails, he embraced the outdoors with a sense of wonder and gratitude that reflected his inner faith.
John’s adventurous spirit was matched only by his devotion to his family. As a beloved son and brother, he showed unwavering love and loyalty, always placing those closest to him at the center of his life. His presence brought comfort, laughter, and strength to his parents, Neil and Carmen, and to his siblings, Cole, Lily, and Shane. The bond he shared with them will remain unbroken, sustained by cherished memories and enduring love.
A sophomore at Teutopolis High School, John was respected by his peers and teachers alike. His character, humility, and quiet determination set him apart, and his absence will be deeply felt throughout the school community.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to John’s family, including his grandparents, Donna Breer and Andrew and Connie Kerner, as well as his extended family. We also remember his grandfather, Paul Breer, who preceded him in death and now welcomes him into eternal rest.
